When we arrived, we placed our name on the waiting list and proceeded to the bar for a drink. However, when a table became available, the staff did not inform our party, all of whom were patiently waiting at the bar. Eventually we were seated, but a few groups managed to proceed us in the interim.
I had the beer sausage with horseradish potatoes and house-cut fries on the side. My original choice of sausage and one of my sides were not available, but I was only informed of this as the waitress was taking our order, not as I was looking over the menu to make my decision.
However, I don't want to come across too negative, because the food was excellent. The beer, both the Cole Porter and Stout of Circumstance, was also great.
Though I hadn't previously been inside, the interior has apparently been redone. I'm a fan of the new style. The dark wood accompanied by red and gold accents is classy.

Sticking solely to appetizers, I had the wontons, which were delicious. The full menu looked good and has a nice variety of choices.

Because of the honors it has won for its vegetarian menu, we stuck to those dishes. We ordered a spicy zucchini dish, the name of which I can't remember, and Ater Kik, a mild dish with split peas that I highly recommend. The meal came with ample amounts of injera, the bread unique to Ethiopian restaurants.
The decor is charming, in its attempt to be as African as possible on the edge of Oakland.
We ordered the Oh Canada, which has Canadian bacon. While it was very good (and similarly so out of the take-home box), it was a tad bit salty. However, most of the pizzas on the menu are vegetarian, so I think sticking with one of those choices would have been preferred.
The upstairs Conga Lounge also serves tasty tropical cocktails, and has extra seating available for when the cafe is crowded.

I ordered the 2x2x2 with Nantucket flapjacks, scrambled eggs, and country sausage. I highly recommend ordering the banana flapjacks, which I'm still craving more than two days later. Tasty!
The atmosphere is laid back and the prices are reasonable. Early Saturday afternoon seems to attract young professionals and graduate students.

I ordered the Grayson Burger, which was incredible. The house-made BBQ sauce and crispy shoe string onions top it off perfectly. I'm told the Demon Lover is off-the-hook as well.
The atmosphere is perfect for lunch, the staff is friendly, and the patio can be enjoyed on sunny days.

The price is very reasonable, about $10 for a hot bowl of soon tofu soup, complete with a bowl of rice, which is nice and crispy where the rice meets the side of the bowl (perfect for soaking in the soup). The soup is filled with soft tofu and your choice of vegetables, seafood, or beef.
All meals are also accompanied by an array of appetizers, known in Korean as banchan.
